A DAY IN THE LIFE
Participating in our chapter philanthropy, A Day in the Life, is one of the best parts of being in Kappa Kappa Gamma here at UCLA. Every year, our chapter hosts elementary school kids at UCLA, and shows them what it's like to be a Bruin for a day. We play games, read with them, teach them UCLA cheers and trivia, and show them how important it is to go to college. At the end of the day, we all eat lunch together and the kids get backpacks filled with school supplies and books. When ADIL is over, we keep in touch with the kids by sending them pen pal letters and volunteering to help out at their schools.
Every winter, Kappa Kappa Gamma hosts its annual holiday fundraiser party, Kappa Krismukkah, at our beautiful home. This year, Krismukkah included cookie decorating, carolers from Bruin Harmony, a photo-booth, and a live reindeer! A $5 donation or an unwrapped toy are required for entry, and proceeds from the event’s admission are donated to Toys for Tots and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation.
